Ship Planner cum Container Stowage Coordinator

Requirements;

• Min. Diploma or Degree in any discipline
• Should have sea-going experience or at least 1-2 years experience in a relevant marine related function
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Able to work independently and cohesively as a team
• Able to priorities work flow to meet deadlines and have a sense of urgency
• Prepared to work irregular hours       
• Able to work under pressure and in a fast-paced work environment
• Excellent skills in computer.
  

Responsibilities;

• Plan stowage of containers such that cargo can be carried in a safe way ensuring safety of the vessel, crew, cargo and the environment it operates in.,
• Ensure that vessel stowage complies with both company’s policies and International regulations and guidelines.,
• Calculate expected stability condition for vessels round voyage and ensure that cargo stowage allows safe operation of the vessel at all times.,
• Optimize the loading of the vessel to maximize lift and with efficient terminal operation at minimum cost.,
• Careful stowage of special cargo such as dangerous goods, out-of-gauge, and refrigerated cargoes.,
• Proactive liaison with the internal departments, vessels, terminal planners, port authorities & our customers.,
